Overview
As a (Senior) Manager Non-Financial Risk (NFR), you will play a key role within Zanders' Financial Institutions practice, supporting banks and financial institutions in strengthening their Non-Financial Risk frameworks. You will lead complex client engagements, contribute to business development, and actively shape our NFR proposition in the Dutch and international market. You will combine deep subject-matter expertise with strong leadership and client advisory skills, acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders while mentoring and developing consultants.
Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver national and international client engagements in the area of Non-Financial Risk
- Advise financial institutions on NFR topics, including governance, risk frameworks, internal controls, operational resilience, outsourcing risk, and regulatory compliance
- Take end-to-end responsibility for project delivery, including planning, team coordination, quality assurance, and stakeholder management
- Drive business development activities, including proposal writing, client presentations, and go-to-market initiatives
- Contribute to the further development of Zanders' NFR service offering and thought leadership
- Monitor regulatory and market developments and translate them into actionable client insights
- Mentor and coach consultants and senior consultants, supporting their professional and personal development
- Actively build and maintain a strong professional network within the financial services industry
Your Profile
- Master\'s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, (Business) Informatics, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a comparable field
- 5+ years (Manager) or 8+ years (Senior Manager) of professional experience in consulting and/or financial institutions with a strong focus on Non-Financial Risk and banking regulation
- Proven experience in managing client projects and leading teams
- Strong understanding of regulatory expectations relevant to NFR (e.g. governance, controls, operational risk, resilience, outsourcing)
- Solid project management skills and a structured, analytical way of working
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent in English; Dutch is a strong advantage
- Willingness to travel as required
