Job summary

The Rebyl in Nijmegen is seeking a Night Receptionist who is passionate about hospitality, calm under pressure and committed to creating a welcoming, safe overnight experience for guests.

You will handle late check-ins, night audits, guest inquiries, and security, while preparing the front desk for the morning team. Fluency in English is essential, Dutch is a plus, and familiarity with Opera PMS is valuable.

Qualifications

• Preferably experienced in the hotel sector or holding a hotel school diploma.
• Fluent in English; Dutch proficiency is a strong advantage.
• Familiarity with Opera PMS and Marriott Systems is a significant plus.
• Excellent communication skills paired with a welcoming demeanor.
• Strong stress management and the ability to handle guest inquiries effectively.
• A collaborative team player who fosters a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming late-arriving guests and handling check-ins/check-outs efficiently and professionally.
• Managing guest inquiries, requests, and reservations during the night shift.
• Performing night audit procedures and ensuring the accuracy of daily financial and operational reports.
• Monitoring the safety and security of guests, team members, and the hotel premises.
• Handling phone calls, emails and administrative tasks in a timely manner.
• Setting up the front office for a seamless handover to the morning team.
• Providing information about the hotel, local attractions, and services to guests.
• Responding calmly and effectively to any issues or emergencies that may arise during the night.
