The Usual Rotterdam is seeking a Night Host to ensure guest well-being and safety during the night. You will manage reception tasks, serve at the Ubar, perform light financial checks, monitor guest sleep, and help prep breakfast for the morning rush.

Fluent English is essential, and eligibility to work in the Netherlands is required. A flexible night schedule applies with a 23:00–07:00 shift, plus sustainability values and a supportive team culture.

The role

As Night Host, you are co-responsible for the well-being of fellow employees, guests and our guest satisfaction on a daily basis. Your core focus is to create a welcoming and unforgettable experience for our guests while being responsible for the safety of our guests and fellow employees. During your shift, you are engaged in:

• Performing common reception duties, such as checking guests in and out and providing information;
• Being at our Ubar and prepare delicious drinks for our guests;
• Doing some financial audit activities;
• Monitoring the sleep and safety of our guests;
• Helping prepare breakfast and ensure that the hotel is ready for the morning.

Next to this, the following requirements apply:

• "Night auditor": previous hotel (or similar) experience is great, but it's not a must-have for us - if you're eager to learn we can teach you what you need to know.
• Fluency in English is essential, additional languages are a plus.
• Available during the nights. The shift runs from 23:00 - 07:00.
• You are comfortable working with a flexible schedule and adaptable working hours. Some weeks may require more hours than others, depending on operational needs.
• Must have a heart for sustainability.
• You are legally allowed to work in The Netherlands.
