Job summary

Thorizon Amsterdam is offering an internship to identify, analyze, and critically assess existing reactor physics experimental integral data relevant to the project, including k‑eff and reaction rates, to guide modelling, simulations, and experimental work.

You will perform literature reviews, identify key experiments and uncertainties, compare results with calculations, and summarize findings in clear technical reports and presentations.

Qualifications

• Master’s-level student in nuclear engineering, physics, or related field.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize complex information.
• Excellent written and spoken English; French or Dutch is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform a comprehensive literature review of experimental integral data from journals, technical reports, and databases.
• Identify key experiments, measurement techniques, and associated uncertainties.
• Compare experimental results with calculations and interpret the differences.
• Assess data consistency, reliability, and applicability for the targeted application.
• Summarize findings in technical reports and presentations.
• Propose recommendations for data selection and future analysis.
