Job summary

Lever, Inc. is seeking a Nature-based Solutions Analyst to contribute to the development and assessment of high-integrity nature-based solutions in the Netherlands.

You will conduct rigorous due diligence and monitoring across client portfolios, using remote sensing and carbon modelling to inform climate investments. The role emphasizes translating scientific findings into practical recommendations, with collaboration across an international team and external experts.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in environmental science or related discipline.
• 3-5 years of professional experience in due diligence, project development, assessment, or monitoring of nature-based solutions.
• Strong knowledge of nature-based carbon methodologies, verification standards and monitoring approaches.
• Demonstrated expertise in remote sensing and carbon modelling.
• Ability to translate scientific findings into actionable recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for diverse stakeholders.
• Collaborative work within multidisciplinary, international teams.

Responsibilities

• Apply a structured Nature Analytics Framework to assess projects within client portfolios.
• Conduct due diligence and provide evidence-based insights for investment decisions.
• Review carbon projections and assess underlying methodologies and outcomes.
• Perform remote sensing analyses to evaluate land-use and environmental conditions.
• Contribute to development and refinement of the Nature Analytics Framework.
• Monitor updates in carbon market standards and verification frameworks.
• Build knowledge on emerging approaches to nature-based carbon projects.
• Translate complex findings into clear client insights.
• Support knowledge-sharing and engage external technical advisors and partners.
• Collaborate with international teams to strengthen project assessment processes.
