Job summary

DRW, a diversified trading firm, seeks a Trading Systems Engineer in Amsterdam to support a world-class trading ecosystem. You will work with trading, infrastructure and software teams to resolve issues and enhance automation.

The role requires 5+ years in trade support or SRE, strong Linux and scripting skills, and ability to operate under pressure while communicating with traders and developers. On-site in the Netherlands; opportunity to impact uptime and performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in trade support, site reliability engineering or related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related field.
• Familiarity with trading platforms and financial markets.
• Thrives in high-pressure situations while working with traders and engineers.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.
• Experience with Python and Bash for automation.
• Ability to craft complex SQL queries and updates.
• Basic networking knowledge including multicast, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and common tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining the health and availability of a world class trading ecosystem.
• Responding to support requests from traders and software engineers.
• Contributing to automation and monitoring solutions to reduce manual config and improve uptime.
• Liaising with external trading partners, exchanges and clearing firms to resolve issues.
• Onboarding new trading desks, trading systems and technologies.
