Job summary

DRW is seeking a Trading Systems Engineer to provide mission-critical support for core trading platforms. You will manage production environments, automate deployments, and develop tools to improve reliability and performance.

The role requires Linux experience, scripting, and familiarity with trading protocols. Work in a fast-paced, collaborative team with global coverage and varied scheduling needs.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting high performance applications and monitoring.
• Trading systems support experience preferred.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals (multicast, TCP, routing).
• Basic scripting skills (Python, PowerShell or Bash).
• Experience in Linux environments.
• Prior experience with FIX protocol is a plus.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Chef and Ansible is a plus.
• Experience with Docker containerization is a plus.
• Experience with monitoring suites such as Splunk, Kibana & Grafana.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide mission critical support for core trading systems and adjust parameters as needed.
• Maintain production availability and reliable software deployments.
• Develop automation and monitoring tools for operations.
• Support proprietary trading systems across Linux environments.
• Troubleshoot production incidents from internal or external factors.
• Automate configuration and rollout procedures to reduce errors.
• Coordinate with DBAs, developers, QA, and infra teams during releases.
