Job summary

DRW is seeking a Trading Systems Engineer to join our global technology teams. You’ll work with trading, infrastructure and software development to ensure uptime and performance of our trading ecosystem, interfacing with exchanges and traders to resolve complex issues.

You will operate with autonomy and must communicate effectively while solving challenging problems across multiple engineering teams. A STEM background with Linux, Python and SQL skills is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in trade support, site reliability engineering or related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related field.
• Familiarity with trading platforms and financial markets.
• Thrives in high-pressure situations with traders and engineers.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
• Ability to devise complex SQL queries and updates.
• Basic networking knowledge: multicast, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining the health and availability of the trading ecosystem.
• Responding to support requests from traders and software engineers.
• Contributing to automation and monitoring solutions to reduce manual config and improve uptime.
• Liaising with external trading partners to resolve issues.
• Onboarding new trading desks and systems.
