Job summary

Demcon in Groningen DIS is seeking a versatile software engineer to translate customer specifications into robust software solutions within a multidisciplinary team, using BRIX on TwinCAT 3 and Beckhoff hardware. Our business unit Demcon Industrial Systems (DIS) develops and realizes a wide variety of projects for the (complex) machine building market. For our branch in Groningen we are looking for a versatile, enthusiastic software engineer.

What are you going to do?

As a software engineer, you translate customer specifications into the required software solutions. You work within a multidisciplinary team, with short lines of communication with your colleagues from the other disciplines. You structure the system design into a working machine control system. To do this, you use BRIX, our standard machine control platform based on TwinCAT 3 (ST) and Beckhoff hardware. You are involved in testing and commissioning machine controls. In addition, you are a sparring partner for your fellow engineers and the customer.

What are you bringing?

• A completed bachelor's or master's degree in a software-related technical field;
• Proven experience in a similar role within industrial automation, machine building or mechatronic systems;
• Erving with object-oriented software development;
• Experience with TwinCAT 3 (ST) and Beckhoff is desired;
• Relevant knowledge of machine vision / smart cameras is a plus;
• Relevant knowledge of machine safety, motion, drives and/or robot control is a plus.
