Job summary

Demcon in Enschede is seeking a medior Mechanical Engineer to take responsibility from concept to delivery, coordinating with the group leader on projects that fit your competences. You’ll work from specification through to integration or industrialization, with significant freedom to shape the design and choices.

You bring a completed degree in mechanical engineering and at least 3 years of relevant experience in high-tech, industrial, or medical systems.

Qualifications

• A completed college/university degree in mechanical engineering.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience as a mechanical engineer in high-tech/industrial/medical systems.
• Excellent skills with 3D and 2D CAD (SolidWorks).
• Fluent in Dutch and English; good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in concept development and substantiate concepts with calculations and test setups.
• Develop the complete construction file and coordinate outsourcing of critical components.
• Direct realization or contribute to setup of professional series production.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to arrive at an overall design and take responsibility for the designed components.

What are you going to do?

You think along in the concept phase and are then responsible for the engineering and substantiation of the concept by making calculations and test setups. You work out the complete construction file, take care of the outsourcing of the critical components of the system and then direct the realization or you participate in setting up professional series production. You consult with the other disciplines to arrive at an overall design and you feel responsible for the design you are in charge of.

What do you bring to the table?

• A completed college/university degree in mechanical engineering;
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience as a mechanical engineer in the development of high-tech, industrial or medical systems;
• You seek depth in fine mechanical construction principles, analysis methods and DFX;
• Good command of the Dutch and English languages;
• Excellent skills with 3D and 2D CAD (preferably SolidWorks);
• Enthusiasm and flexibility, shows initiative and perseverance, enjoys working together and possesses good communication skills.
