Job summary

ITproposal in Amsterdam is seeking a Microsoft 365 & Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Engineer to manage a modern digital workplace. You will configure, deploy, and secure Microsoft 365 services and AVD for secure end–user access, with strong focus on identity, access management and device security.

The ideal candidate will have 4–6 years in Microsoft 365 administration, hands-on AVD expertise, and experience with AD/Entra ID, GPOs, Intune and IAM.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in Microsoft 365 administration.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
• Strong knowledge of AD and Entra ID.
• Experience with GPOs, IAM and endpoint security.

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 & Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Engineer to manage and support a modern digital workplace environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure Virtual Desktop, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, and endpoint management, ensuring secure and efficient end-user computing services.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, administer, and maintain a Microsoft 365 modern workplace environment, including Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and OneDrive.
• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments for secure and scalable end-user access.
• Administer Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID, including authentication, authorization, Group Policy (GPO), and security policies.
• Manage user identities, access permissions, and compliance in line with Identity and Access Management (IAM) best practices.
• Package, deploy, and manage workplace applications.
• Administer Microsoft Intune for endpoint management and Mobile Device Management (MDM).
• Manage and secure iOS devices (iPhones and iPads), including application deployment, security policy enforcement, and remote wipe capabilities.
• Ensure endpoint security, device compliance, and application security across the workplace environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Microsoft 365, Azure Virtual Desktop, identity management, and endpoint devices.

Required Skills

• 4–6 years of experience in Microsoft 365 administration.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Experience managing Group Policies (GPOs), authentication, authorization, and access security.
• Experience with Microsoft Intune, Mobile Device Management (MDM), and endpoint security.
• Experience managing iOS devices, including iPhones and iPads.
• Knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM) principles.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
