Job summary

Stafide in Amsterdam is seeking an Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Engineer with 4+ years of hands-on experience to manage and optimize our AVD environments. You will configure Host Pools, Session Hosts, FSLogix profiles, and DR solutions, and collaborate with DevOps to automate deployments.

Responsibilities include deploying new AVD functionalities, resolving end-user issues, maintaining golden images, and coordinating with Intune for OS updates to ensure high availability and optimal user

Qualifications

4+ years of experience as an Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Engineer.
In-depth knowledge of VDI technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop.
Hands-on experience configuring, deploying, monitoring and troubleshooting AVD environments.
Experience with Azure portal and third‑party AVD management tools such as Nerdio.
Strong understanding of golden images, Host Pools, Session Hosts, FSLogix and Remote Desktop policies.

Responsibilities

Manage, monitor, and administer Azure Virtual Desktop environments via the Azure portal and Nerdio.
Configure AVD settings and deploy new Azure and AVD functionalities.
Analyze and resolve end-user issues related to virtual desktops and applications.
Provision new Host Pools and Session Hosts according to business requirements.
Manage existing golden images and create new images as required.
Collaborate with application teams to resolve image-related issues.
Configure and manage FSLogix profiles and RD Session Host policies.
Coordinate with Intune teams for Windows OS and application updates.
Maintain and update SOPs for AVD operations.
Design, configure, and manage Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions for AVD.
Work with DevOps teams to automate AVD deployments and operational tasks.
