Job summary

CTS Group in Portugal is seeking an experienced MEP Manager to lead the MEP delivery of a major Data Centre project on-site in Viana do Castelo. You will coordinate Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing across design, construction, testing and handover, ensuring quality, schedule and budget adherence.

The role requires strong leadership and communication skills, advanced English, and the ability to manage teams and specialist subcontractors in a dynamic, international project environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Solid professional experience in MEP management or coordination within construction or engineering projects.
• Experience managing teams and specialist subcontractors.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing/building services systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and project documentation.
• Experience with commissioning and handover processes valued.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Advanced English required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate MEP activities across design, construction, testing, commissioning and handover.
• Manage and support MEP engineers, supervisors, technicians and subcontractors.
• Coordinate interfaces between MEP disciplines and civil, structural and architectural works.
• Review MEP designs, drawings, specifications, submittals and method statements.
• Ensure MEP solutions comply with project specs, contractual requirements, standards and regulations.
• Overseeing technical reviews, quality inspections and progress monitoring.
• Identifying, analysing and resolving technical, design and construction challenges.
• Maintaining effective communication with clients, consultants, contractors and subcontractors.
• Supporting project planning, forecasting, progress tracking and milestone achievement.
• Monitoring MEP construction progress and ensuring alignment with the overall project schedule.
• Coordinating testing, commissioning, system integration and handover.
• Ensuring the completion of as-built drawings, technical dossiers and handover documentation.
• Promoting high standards of safety, quality and efficiency across all MEP activities.
