Job summary

CTS Group in Portugal is seeking an experienced MEP Manager to lead the MEP delivery of a major Data Centre project on-site in Viana do Castelo. You will coordinate Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing across design, construction, testing and handover, ensuring quality, schedule and budget adherence.

The role requires strong leadership and communication skills, advanced English, and the ability to manage teams and specialist subcontractors in a dynamic, international project environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Solid professional experience in MEP management or coordination within construction or engineering projects.
• Experience managing teams and specialist subcontractors.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing/building services systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and project documentation.
• Experience with commissioning and handover processes valued.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Advanced English required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate MEP activities across design, construction, testing, commissioning and handover.

• Maintaining effective communication with clients, consultants, contractors and subcontractors.
• Supporting project planning, forecasting, progress tracking and milestone achievement.
• Monitoring MEP construction progress and ensuring alignment with the overall project schedule.
• Coordinating testing, commissioning, system integration and handover.
• Ensuring the completion of as-built drawings, technical dossiers and handover documentation.
• Promoting high standards of safety, quality and efficiency across all MEP activities.

At CTS Group, we’re looking for an experienced MEP Manager (m/f/d) to join our team and take a leading role in the coordination and delivery of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) services across a major project.

This is a role for an engineering professional who combines strong technical expertise with leadership, coordination and problem-solving skills — someone who can bring different disciplines, teams and stakeholders together to keep complex MEP works moving safely, efficiently and according to plan.

From design through to commissioning and handover, you’ll play a central role in ensuring MEP systems are delivered to the required quality, schedule, budget and project standards.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Leading and coordinating MEP activities across design, construction, testing, commissioning and handover

Your Technical And Professional Background

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• Solid professional experience in MEP management or coordination within construction or engineering projects
• Previous experience managing teams and specialist subcontractors
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing / building services systems
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and project documentation
• Experience with commissioning and handover processes is highly valued
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills
• Advanced English — mandatory
• Availability to work on-site in Viana do Castelo, Portugal.
