Job summary

NorthC Group is seeking a Design Manager (MEP) to lead data center design across new builds and upgrades in North West Europe. You will oversee external consultants, ensure compliance with codes, and drive sustainability-led design decisions.

The role reports to the CTO and requires strong communication with technical and managerial stakeholders. The DM will guide design through all phases, support procurement, and contribute to test scripts and validation activities, while advancing NorthC’s

Qualifications

• Holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Over 10 years of experience managing multidisciplinary design, engineering, and construction projects in data centers.
• Up-to-date knowledge of data center market developments.
• Fluent in English; German proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead data center design delivery across multiple projects and disciplines.
• Contribute to tender documentation and provide technical recommendations to CTO.
• Support testing, commissioning, and validation activities with operations.
• Maintain and improve the NorthC Data Center Blueprint and standards.
