Job summary

Gore is seeking an experienced R&D Engineer for its Heerlen site (NL) focused on designing and driving an R&D membrane facility. You will build a deep understanding of the overall process to develop new products and ensure high-quality manufacturing.

You will collaborate with global teams, transfer R&D processes to production, and contribute to MOC/HAZOP activities while driving innovative, practical solutions in a fast-changing environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in chemical or mechanical engineering with strong affinity for process technology and innovation.
• Knowledge of polymer and/or film technology.
• Experience with project management and lean six sigma.
• Excellent teamwork and pragmatic problem-solving approach.
• Proactive, hands-on mindset with ability to drive change.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous development of new products or technologies linked to gel technology.
• Understand process impact on product and optimize production equipment.
• Support development and commercialization of new products and transfer R&D to production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams as a project champion.
• Contribute to further development of the R&D facility and work environment.
• Contribute to local MOC and HAZOP activities.
