Job summary

The Social Hub in Amsterdam is seeking a Meetings & Events Supervisor who thrives in the middle of the action. You’ll coordinate with the crew, oversee setup, service moments and floor operations to keep events running smoothly.

You’ll lead during service, support onboarding, and stay guest-facing, with strong English and Dutch communication. This hybrid hospitality concept embraces diversity and growth opportunities across Europe.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a senior waiter, barista, or bartender role.
• Confident in leading a team during service.
• Clear communication and composure when busy.
• Eye for detail and consistency in service.
• Genuine hospitality energy and guest-facing mindset.
• Ability to work with different teams and lead by example.
• Fluency in English and Dutch; additional languages a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the front-of-house team during service and set a positive, upbeat tone.
• Guide your crew on the floor, solving small issues in the moment.
• Support training and onboarding for new team members.
• Keep daily operations smooth by checking setups, stock, cleanliness and safety.
• Stay present on the floor, engage with guests and step in where needed.
• Handle transactions accurately and report irregularities.
• Share shift targets and motivate the team to achieve them.
• Collaborate with kitchen and bar teams to maintain flow of service.

• You speak English and Dutch, extra languages are a bonus
