Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is hiring a Production Operator in Nijmegen, Netherlands, to operate manufacturing machinery, perform format changeovers, and support the manufacturing team within GMP and safety guidelines.

The role requires a high school diploma, strong attention to detail, and teamwork. The position is initially a 1-year fixed-term contract with potential extension, offering training and growth in a dynamic MedTech manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification required.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• An ability to follow instructions and effective communication skills combined with an ability to work well within a team.
• Commitment to safety and cleanliness standards.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ideally experience in manufacturing or production environment; experience with LEAN tools and continuous improvement methodologies is also desirable, but not a must have.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Follow SOPs, GMP, and safety protocols at all times while maintaining cleanliness to prevent contamination or mix-ups.
• Prepare and verify batch components and prepare machinery, including format changeovers for production runs.
• Manufacture products in compliance with procedures, GMP, documentation practices, and quality standards.
• Conduct product inspections and in-process checks to ensure specifications.
• Prepare, document, and complete production records, including batch reconciliation and material transfers.
• Follow PPE and corporate security requirements, report risks, and ensure compliance with HSE guidelines and company regulations.
• Support team members in manufacturing processes, foster cooperation, and assist in finished goods projects.
• Escalate process deviations, batch mix-ups, critical defects, or other issues impacting safety, production, or quality; communicate improvement opportunities.
