Job summary

Anchormen is seeking a Medior Data Engineer in Amsterdam to join our data and AI consultancy team. You will work across multiple client projects, applying Java, Python or Scala on Spark, Kafka and cloud platforms to activate data for business value.

You will collaborate with seasoned professionals, contribute to Data Hub solutions, and optionally coach trainees while expanding your own skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

A Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Data Engineer.
Experience as a Software Engineer (Python, Java or Scala).
Experience with Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, Elastic, Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with Azure or AWS.
Experience with Agile/Scrum.
Excellent command of English.
Dutch language is a plus; NL-based candidates only.

Responsibilities

Contribute to multiple client projects simultaneously.
Work independently or as part of a larger project at a client site.
Coach Anchormen trainees when needed.
Develop data-driven solutions using Java, Python or Scala and modern data tools.
