Job summary

Anchormen, a leading Data & A.I. consultancy in the Netherlands, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our team and work on challenging projects for large organizations.

You will design data pipelines, implement batch and stream processing, and collaborate across projects both on-site and off-site, applying Java, Python or Scala in cloud environments. The role emphasizes learning, knowledge sharing, and building scalable data solutions with Spark, Kafka, Airflow, and modern cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• A bachelor or master’s degree preferably in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• A software engineer background (Java, Python, Scala or C#).
• Experience with Azure and/or AWS - CI/CD.
• Experience with Spark, Kafka, Airflow, Hadoop, Elastic, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Experience in working on several projects simultaneously or willingness to do it.
• Experience with Agile /Scrum.
• Speaking Dutch is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop data pipelines and data enrichment for multiple projects.
• Implement stream and batch processing to handle large datasets.
• Collaborate on designing data structures and maintain data security measures.
• Work onsite/offsite on various assignments, maximizing learning and impact.
• Contribute to cloud deployments and ensure test coverage and quality.
