Openclaims in Amsterdam is seeking a Medior Backend Developer to own the backend core and help scale the SaaS platform across markets.
You’ll work on backend technologies with Java and/or Python, and will engage with Mendix as a plus. The team of six developers values collaboration, ownership, and fast delivery.
The role is hybrid with on-site presence in Amsterdam, with learning budget and opportunities to work abroad up to one month yearly.

We’re an Insurtech company that helps insurers and fleets handle car repairs more efficiently through our SaaS platform. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for people who want to help improve and scale a product across multiple markets.
What you’ll do
Take ownership over the (back-end domain) core platform functionalities
Integrate user-facing elements developed by our front-end team
Be a technical sparring partner for other stakeholders in the development process
Design and build workflow handling solutions and technical enhancements to the platform
Contribute to a continuous improvement process

What you bring
Minimum 3+ years of experienc e in backend development (a relevant degree is a plus)
Strong proficiency in Java and/or Python (interest in Mendix is a plus)
Solid understanding of modern web development principles and architecture
Fluency in English and Dutch , with a curious and proactive mindset
Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies
Results-oriented, with a pragmatic and solution-driven approach
Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively within a team
Based in Amsterdam metropolitan area

Salary: €4000 - €5000 per month based on your experience
