Job summary

Openclaims in Amsterdam is seeking a Medior Backend Developer to own the backend core and help scale the SaaS platform across markets.

You’ll work on backend technologies with Java and/or Python, and will engage with Mendix as a plus. The team of six developers values collaboration, ownership, and fast delivery.

The role is hybrid with on-site presence in Amsterdam, with learning budget and opportunities to work abroad up to one month yearly.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of backend development experience.
• Proficiency in Java and/or Python; Mendix is a plus.
• Fluency in English and Dutch; proactive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership over the backend core platform functionalities.
• Integrate user-facing elements developed by our front-end team.
• Be a technical sparring partner for other stakeholders.
• Design and build workflow handling solutions and enhancements.
• Contribute to a continuous improvement process.
