Job summary

Openclaims is seeking a Junior Backend Developer to help scale our Mendix/React/Java/Python backend for our insurtech SaaS platform. In a hybrid setting in Amsterdam, you will own core backend functionalities, collaborate with frontend teams, and participate in architectural discussions while learning rapidly.

You should have at least 1 year of backend experience, be fluent in English and Dutch, and be based in the Amsterdam area.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of backend development experience.
• Proficient in Java and/or Python; Mendix interest is a plus.
• Fluent in English and Dutch.
• Based in the Amsterdam metro area.

Responsibilities

• Own backend core platform functionalities.
• Integrate backend with frontend components.
• Serve as a technical sparring partner with stakeholders.
• Design and build workflow handling solutions for the platform.
• Contribute to continuous improvement processes.
