Job summary

Mercury is seeking a Mechanical Package Manager for the Groningen site in the Netherlands. You will coordinate mechanical work packages, onboarding subcontractors, and enforce EHS, QA/QC, and schedule requirements while liaising with the client, main contractor, and suppliers.

Key responsibilities include managing safety, QA, project schedule, and the commercial aspects of the package, with close collaboration with the project QS and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• More than 5 years experience with a recognised contractor.
• Excellent organisational and planning skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Excellent negotiation, problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in systems software related to engineering functions.
• Excellent IT skills.
• Familiar with Project/Primavera planning software and CAD/BIM processes.
• Ability to manage workload and prioritise.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate mechanical work packages including subcontractor onboarding, EHS, QAQC, schedule, design and handover.
• Manage site safety with contractors and Mercury EHS Lead, including subcontractor files.
• Oversee site QA with contractors and QAQC lead, including documentation.
• Manage project schedule with contractors, site planner, and consultants.
• Handle all commercial aspects with project QS: labour, material, plant, variations, valuations.
• Support engineering requirements by liaising with design team, main contractor, suppliers, and sub-contractors.
• Ensure works comply with project specs and QA plan.
• Develop and implement project procedures with project managers.
• Prepare sub-contract and supplier tenders with project QS.
• Maintain weekly progress reports and risk elements.
