Job summary

Mercury is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager for Groningen to lead complex engineering and construction projects in the Netherlands. You will manage site safety, QA for the mechanical package, project scheduling, and cost control while coordinating with the client, engineers and subcontractors.

The role requires a trade background with a third-level qualification and at least 5 years as a Mechanical Engineer, with proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Project. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Trade background with a third level qualification.
• Proven record of coordinating on projects.
• Minimum 5 years as a Mechanical Engineer.
• Knowledge of Word, Excel, AutoCAD, MS Project.
• Willingness to travel within Ireland if required.

Responsibilities

• Manage site safety and safety files with Mercury Safety Advisor.
• Oversee mechanical QA file setup, management and closeout.
• Coordinate project schedule with Mercury team, consultant and client requirements.
• Control all project costs: labour, materials, plant, variations, valuations.
• Manage subcontractor activities and weekly coordination meetings.
• Maintain weekly progress reports and snagging system with supervisors.
• Ensure timely documentation: Final Account, manuals, safety and QA files.
