Construction Project Operations Lead

Job summary

Mercury, the European leader in construction solutions, is seeking a Project Operations Manager in Groningen, The Netherlands. You will own on-site operations, lead pre-planning meetings with Mercury and supply chain teams, and ensure delivery of KPI’s in collaboration with the Project Director/Manager and Commercial Manager.

You will coordinate client relations, plan site setup, manage resources and safety culture, drive quality initiatives, and attend weekly and monthly meetings to close out

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or recognised trade qualification
• 10+ years experience managing large construction projects as a General Contractor
• Strong knowledge of Civil, Structural and Architectural packages
• Understanding of mechanical and electrical installations and interfaces

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for all works on site, leading pre-planning meetings with Mercury and supply chain partner teams
• Work with Project Director/Manager & Commercial Manager to deliver KPI’s and attend weekly site walks
• Maintain positive client relations and promptly action requests and contractual obligations
• Plan site setup and logistics to ensure facilities, access and conditions are in place for safe execution
• Promote strong EHS & Quality culture on site through meetings and SOPs
• Ensure trained staff are available on site to manage HRA activities
• Lead development of project target schedule with site planner and align with teams
• Maintain awareness of project commercial status and communicate scope changes for recovery via change management
• Attend weekly client/other meetings and ensure action items are closed within timelines
• All other duties as required by the Company
