Job summary

Avular is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design lightweight mechanical systems for mobile robotics, delivering robust, cost-effective solutions. You will perform FEM simulations, hand calculations, and tolerance analyses, translating stakeholder needs into measurable requirements and manufacturing-ready drawings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or closely related field.
• 4+ years of professional experience in designing, calculating and testing mechanical systems including FEM.
• Advanced 3D CAD in Siemens NX, SolidWorks or CATIA for large assemblies and tolerance specs.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop lightweight mechanical systems delivering required functionality and robustness.
• Perform strength, tolerance, mass and stiffness analyses and FEM simulations.
• Translate system needs into measurable requirements and compare concepts.
• Produce manufacturing-ready drawings with GD&T and assembly instructions.
• Build and test prototypes and refine designs based on results.
