Mechanical Design Engineer

• Project duration: 3 years

Introduction

You’ll be joining a leading organization where the Development & Engineering department is responsible for the specification, design, and integration of highly advanced systems. The mechanical development team plays a key role by designing, building, and testing critical mechanical components and subsystems that enable top-level system performance.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you are responsible for the development and implementation of precision mechanical designs that meet system-level specifications and operational requirements. You will be part of a multidisciplinary project team working on high-precision motion modules.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing mechanical modules or components to meet required performance targets.
• Applying advanced construction principles and design methodologies to ensure robust, manufacturable solutions.
• Creating and reviewing 3D designs using Siemens NX, incorporating GD&T standards.
• Evaluating design concepts through FEM analysis and mechanical calculations.
• Driving continuous improvement by implementing design enhancements and optimizations.
• Supporting test planning and execution for prototype qualification.
• Creating and maintaining technical product documentation for release to production.
• Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including mechatronics, manufacturing, and supply chain.

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in mechanical design within a high-tech development environment.
• Proven expertise with Siemens NX (or equivalent 3D CAD tools).
• Solid understanding of construction principles, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), and FEM analysis.
• Experience with design-for-manufacturing (DFM), cost-optimized designs, and supplier collaboration is a plus.
• Familiarity with mechatronic systems is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary, agile development environment.
