Job summary

Philips Innovation Engineering in Eindhoven is seeking a mechanical design professional to detail mechanical solutions within multi-disciplinary projects. You will work with a technical lead and collaborate across dynamics, thermal, electronics and software teams.

You will be part of internal and external mechanical design sub-teams, partnering with lead mechanical engineers and project managers, while maintaining a strong network with customers and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Detail the mechanical solutions provided to you via a technical lead in multi-disciplinary and cross-functional projects, typically mid- to long-term, complex and divisible into sub-projects for subsystems.
• Be part of internal and external mechanical design sub-teams.
• Work closely with the lead Mechanical Engineer and/or the Project Manager.
• Maintain an effective network with customers and suppliers.

Our teams support the Philips businesses in bringing their innovations faster to market. As such we aim to cross-train diversely capable teams and constantly develop competence that are state of art. We are active in product as well as sub-system design, prototyping and testing. You will be working together in multi-disciplinary teams of highly skilled technical experts from both Philips Innovation Engineering and its customers.

You are responsible for:

• You will be responsible for detailing the mechanical solutions provided to you via a technical lead in multi-disciplinary and cross-functional projects, which typically have a mid- to long-term character, are complex, and can be divided in several sub-projects for the creation of subsystems. This also requires basic knowledge of and collaboration with colleagues in other disciplines like: dynamics, thermal, electronics and software.
• You will be part of internal and external mechanical design sub-teams.
• You will work closely with the lead Mechanical engineer and/or the Project Manager.
• Maintaining an effective network with customers and suppliers.
