Marel is hiring a Mechanical Engineer to focus on our prepared foods portfolio, including forming, coating, frying and heating. You will join a team of 70 across Denmark, Germany, Scotland and the Netherlands, working with 15 colleagues in the Netherlands.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or related field.
• Several years of experience engineering technical systems, preferably in the food industry.
• Experience with CAD and PDM/PLM tools; able to produce drawings and BOM.
• Proficient in English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Own a group of equipment and drive design updates to improve performance.
• Ensure technical documentation enables cost-effective manufacturability.
• Ensure equipment meets latest safety standards and international standards.
• Configure, design and develop all mechanical aspects with a multidisciplinary project team.
• Create bills of materials, assemblies, components, drawings and documentation in 3D CAD and PDP.
• Pay attention to functional, hygienic and cleaning aspects, reliability, safety and cost.
