Job description

For one of our clients in the oil&gas industry we are looking for a Materials Coordinator / Crane Operator Offshore

Our client is established in 11 countries worldwide and is active in the energy and water sectors. In the Netherlands, they operate as a producer of natural gas and are co‑owner and operator of two gas storage facilities.

The Materials Coordinator / Crane Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient execution of offshore logistics, cargo handling, and lifting operations on the P15 platform.
The role ensures that all materials movements, crane activities, and helicopter operations are carried out safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with the client their procedures and regulatory requirements, supporting uninterrupted offshore production and maintenance activities.

  • Attend and actively contribute to various logistics meetings.
  • Prepare, unpack, and inspect incoming containers.
  • Prepare containers for transport and ensure proper sea fastening of contents.
  • Register cargo for transport and prepare manifests and IMO (including DG) documentation.
  • Coordinate cargo movements with onshore logistics and supply vessel operation.
  • Ensure all cargo is handled and documented in line with applicable regulations.
2. Crane Operations & Lifting Activities
  • Perform routine and non‑routine crane operations on deck.
  • Execute safe supply vessel loading and unloading operations.
  • Ensure lifting operations are performed in accordance with approved lifting procedures and plans.
  • Support or act in accordance with the Person in Charge (PIC) for lifting activities when required.
  • Verify lifting equipment certification and readiness.
3. Offshore Operational Support
  • Support TAR and maintenance activities through materials readiness and logistics coordination.
  • Participate in daily operational meetings and planning discussions.
  • Provide input on logistics constraints and requirements for activity planning.
4. Helideck Operations
  • Perform helicopter handling activities in accordance with procedures.
  • Conduct helideck checks prior to helicopter operations.
  • Ensure safe handling of personnel and cargo during helicopter movements.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards on deck and process related areas.
  • Ensure all activities are executed in compliance with HSSE standards.
  • Identify and report hazards, unsafe conditions, and deviations.
  • Adhere strictly to permit‑to‑work (PTW) and SIMOPS requirements.

We’re happy to hear from professionals with a Primary technical education (LTS) and at least 5 years offshore experience on platforms or similar installations. In this role you'll require both Dutch and English language skills.
