Job summary

Van Oord is looking for an Offshore Crane Operator to manage safe and effective crane operations on various offshore projects worldwide. You'll be responsible for lifting operations, drafting lifting plans, and conducting maintenance on cranes while working closely with your team to ensure a safe environment.

This role requires flexibility to work internationally and a strong technical insight into crane operations, particularly with cranes over 100 t. A robust working atmosphere and professional development opportunities are at the heart of our organization.

Qualifications

• At least 3-5 years of experience with cranes of at least 100 t, preferably in offshore or civil engineering.
• Experience in maintaining and repairing cranes, including hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate lifting cranes (100-1400 t, including crawler and offshore cranes).
• Draft and execute lifting plans.
• Ensure a safe working environment on and around the crane.

Skills

Flexible and willing to work internationally

Overview

As an Offshore Crane Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and effective operation of cranes on various offshore projects worldwide. Your tasks will include lifting operations on platforms, pontoons, and ships, drafting lifting plans, and performing maintenance and repairs on cranes. You will work closely with the deck crew and actively contribute to a safe and orderly work environment.

You are a motivated and experienced crane operator with a strong safety awareness. You have technical insight and enjoy working in a team to successfully complete projects. Qualifications

• Flexible and willing to work internationally.
• Offshore Crane Operator Stage 3 certificate and other relevant lifting certificates.
• At least 3-5 years of experience with cranes of at least 100 t (preferably in the offshore or civil engineering sector).
• Technical insight and experience with hydraulic systems.
• Strong communication skills in Dutch and English.
• Willingness to work irregular hours, including abroad.

Responsibilities

• Operate lifting cranes (100-1400 t, including crawler and offshore cranes).
• Draft and execute lifting plans.
• Maintain and repair cranes, including hydraulic systems and hoisting wires.
• Perform visual inspections and replace components such as hoisting wires and oil.
• Ensure a safe working environment on and around the crane.
• Mobilize and demobilize cranes for various projects.
• Identify and resolve technical issues proactively, focusing on safety and maintenance.
