Job summary

Epson Europe B.V. in Amsterdam is seeking an experienced master data specialist to govern core data processes across ERP systems. The role combines hands-on data maintenance with documentation and user support, within a small governance & data team.

You will work hybrid, with three days from home, and report to the Manager, Governance & Master Data. The job emphasizes accuracy, process documentation, and collaboration with SAP MM/SD users and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a master data position or transferable role (e.g., Supply chain or Sales Operations Administration)
• SAP functional knowledge (MM or SD) with experience in mass updates
• Intermediate Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, vlookups)

Responsibilities

• Maintains the two worldwide databases for products (GCMI) & business partners (GMCV)
• Sets-up and maintains master data records in the ERP system in line with the set service level to meet business needs; analyzes issues regarding materials, vendors, customers, prices; maintains filing system for traceability; performs global checks to clean up inconsistencies
• Projects: runs data-related tasks per project plan (table maintenance, data upload)
• Contributes to up-to-date documentation (procedures, manuals, templates, system settings) for key activities
• Provides ad hoc support in master data area, runs mass updates, and delivers end-user training; all activities are customer-focused

Epson has an excellent opportunity for an experienced master data specialist within our small and efficient governance & data team.

At the core of this position the master data specialist is responsible for all documentation relating to master data processes & procedures both internally and externally. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach to sharing workload within the existing team.

This position is based out of our Amsterdam offices (Hybrid, WFH 3 days per week) and reports into the Manager, Governance & Master Data.

Your mission

Key responsibilities

• Maintains the two worldwide databases for products (GCMI) & business partners (GMCV)
• Sets-up and maintains master data records in the ERP system in line with the set service level to meet business needs. This includes analysis and resolution of issues regarding material management (materials, bills of material, vendors), customers, prices. Maintenance of the filing system to make sure all requests are traceable. Performing global and regular checks to clean-up the inconsistencies
• Based on projects for which new processes need to be run using the database, performs certain tasks in line with the project plan (tables maintenance, data upload)
• Contributes to up-to-date documentation (procedures, manuals and templates, system settings) concerning the key activities of the department
• Provides ad hoc support in relation to master data area. This includes running mass update in the database to replace manual and time-consuming tasks normally performed locally. It also concerns the preparation and delivery of training to end-users to improve the efficiency. All the activities are strongly customer focus oriented

Knowledge skills and experiences

• Previous experience within a master data position or transferable role (eg Supplychain or Sales Operations Administration)
• SAP functional knowledge (key user profile) of either MM or SD and experience with mass update
• Intermediate Excel (Eg formulas, piviotables, vlookups)
