Job summary

Damen Technical Cooperation seeks an enthusiastic Project Manager for its Project Management Department in Gorinchem. The role focuses on delivering vessels on time and within budget, coordinating engineering, supply chain and production activities for vessels built at international yards.

You will lead a multi-disciplinary team, manage stakeholder expectations, and ensure compliance with quality standards while liaising with clients and internal teams in Dutch and English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master preferable in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Maritime Technology or Electric and automation.
• Proven experience in Project Management in a multi-disciplinary team.
• 3–5 years experience in a similar position, preferably in a Maritime environment.
• Ability to set priorities, take a process-centered approach, and maintain overview.
• Team player with social skills, motivating the team to go the extra mile.

Responsibilities

• Kick off the project, define scope and deliverables with the Project Team.
• Monitor Engineering, Supply Chain, and Production progress for on-time delivery.
• Identify project risks and plan mitigation actions.
• Update stakeholders on timing, quality, risks and costs.
• Manage disturbances that affect time, quality or costs.
• Deliver services to clients and hand over to the warranty team after delivery.
• Follow vessel performance during warranty for product feedback.
• Improve design and production processes to reduce costs and defects.
