About you:

You are a communicative and organized person, eager to excel in the field of project management whilst thinking outside the box. You have a technical background with a hands‑on mentality and thrive in a dynamic environment.

The role:

Currently we are looking for a mature project manager. In this function you will take the lead on big steel projects such as drydocks and large ponton orders for Civil and Modular Constructions.

We expect that you are able to deliver a project on time, within budget and up to our Damen quality standard whilst communicating clearly with your internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• You are overall responsible for delivering a project on time, within budget and up to the Damen quality standard. If there are any issues you communicate these in and externally.
• During the process you report and keep all stakeholders informed and elevate when necessary.
• To ensure the above you visit the production sites worldwide on a regular basis.

Education / skills and experience:

• 5+ years of experience of managing projects in the maritime environment
• Practical experience
• Hands‑on mentality
• Higher professional education or Bachelor in technical or maritime thinking level
• Good command of the English and Dutch language (written & verbal).
• Available for business travel and /or working abroad for a short-medium duration.
