Senior Project Manager – Damen Civil & Modular Constructions

Damen Civil & Modular Constructions, part of the Damen Group, delivers large‑scale maritime and steel construction projects worldwide. We design and build complete shipyards, dry‑docks of all sizes, modular pontoons, barges and other complex steel structures. Headquarters are in Gorinchem, the Netherlands, with projects executed globally.

Key Responsibilities

• Take end‑to‑end responsibility for project delivery, including scope, planning, budget, quality and risk.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams across engineering, production, procurement and quality.
• Manage internal and external stakeholders, including clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and issues, and take timely corrective actions.
• Report on project status and elevate issues when required.
• Ensure compliance with Damen standards, contractual requirements and safety regulations.
• Visit and support production sites worldwide during key project phases.

About You

• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager within maritime, offshore, civil or heavy steel projects.
• Proven track record of delivering large projects in an operational or production‑driven environment.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proactive, solution‑oriented mindset.
• Technical background (HBO/Bachelor level or higher).
• Excellent command of English and Dutch.
• Willingness to travel internationally and work abroad for short to medium periods.
