Job summary

790 Damen Shipbuilding & Cooperation B.V. is seeking a proactive Project Manager for our Damen Technical Cooperation in Gorinchem.

You will manage multi-disciplinary teams across engineering, supply chain and production to ensure on-time delivery of vessels built at international yards. The role requires a strong background in naval/m maritime engineering and proven leadership, with Dutch and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master preferable in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Maritime Technology or Electric and automation.
• Proven experience in Project Management in a multi-disciplinary team.
• 3–5 years experience in a similar maritime role is preferred.
• Strong Dutch and English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Kick off the project and define scope, plans and deliverables with the project team.
• Monitor engineering, supply chain, and production progress to ensure timely vessel delivery.
• Identify project risks and determine mitigation actions.
• Regularly inform stakeholders on timing, quality, costs and contractual needs.
• Manage disturbances affecting time, quality or costs.
• Deliver services to clients and hand over the project to the warranty/after-sales team.
• Follow up during the warranty phase to gather product improvement feedback.
• Improve processes and products at design and detail level across sub-processes.
