Job summary

Damen Shiprepair Rotterdam (DSR) is seeking a Project Buyer to ensure availability of materials, parts and services for diverse repair, maintenance and conversion projects. You will liaise with the project team and suppliers in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires at least 3 years in technical procurement, NEVI 1 knowledge, and strong Dutch/English communication. A dynamic, international project setting with competitive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in technical and tactical procurement, preferably maritime or project-driven.
• Analytical thinker who translates needs into sourcing actions.
• Strong communication; builds durable supplier relationships in Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Translate project and client requirements into technical purchasing specifications with Werkvoorbereiders and Project Management.
• Procure materials and outsource services for repair, maintenance and conversion projects.
• Prepare RFQs, evaluate bids on price, quality and lead time; select best supplier solution.
• Negotiate with suppliers on prices, terms and delivery schedules to achieve optimal project results.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing suppliers while exploring new suppliers and market opportunities.
• Monitor deliveries, verify order confirmations, flag deviations, and contribute to commercial decisions and continuous improvement in supply chain.
