Job summary

Consortio Recruitment Group is partnering with a Dutch maritime organisation to recruit a Maritime Officer for seagoing tug vessels. You will support towing operations, navigation and deck duties alongside Dutch officers and Filipino crew onboard. A professional approach to safety and operations is essential.

You will work to a 1 month on / 1 month off rotation, with regular onboard duties and a focus on maintaining high safety standards across the fleet.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Certificate of Competency (CoC) as Maritime Officer.
• Experience onboard seagoing vessels; towage/tug experience advantageous.
• Strong navigation, deck operations and maritime safety understanding.
• Good English communication; able to work in a multicultural crew with Dutch officers and Filipino deck hands.
• Reliable, flexible and team-oriented with a 1 month on / 1 month off rotation.

Responsibilities

As a Maritime Officer, you will form an integral part of the crew onboard seagoing tug vessels, supporting the safe and efficient execution of towing and maritime operations. You will work alongside experienced Dutch officers and Filipino deck crew, contributing to navigation, deck operations, vessel safety and day-to-day onboard activities. Your experience and professionalism will be essential in maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational performance across the fleet.

Requirements

• Hold a valid Certificate of Competency (CoC) as a Maritime Officer, without limitations and compliant with applicable STCW requirements.
• Previous professional experience as a Maritime Officer, with experience onboard seagoing vessels; towage or tug experience would be highly advantageous.
• Strong understanding of safe navigation, deck operations, vessel procedures and maritime safety, with a professional approach to onboard responsibilities.
• Good English communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multicultural crew environment alongside Dutch officers and Filipino deck hands.
• Reliable, flexible and team-oriented, with the ability to work independently and commit to a 1 month on / 1 month off rotation.
