Job summary

Alphatron Marine is seeking an Installation & Commissioning Engineer for inland shipping, based in Rotterdam. You will install and commission navigation and communication systems, both on ships and in workshops, visiting varied locations and coordinating with clients on larger projects.

The role requires an MBO in electrical engineering, willingness to travel, a B driving license, and Dutch/English language skills. Training to become a maritime electronics specialist is provided.

Qualifications

• MBO diploma (level 3/4) in electrical engineering.
• Interest in ships, technology and travel.
• Willingness to obtain VCA and Working at Height certificates.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission navigation and communication equipment, in workshop and on board.
• Follow clear briefings to understand tasks.
• Visit ships and technical spaces from masts to engine rooms.
• Be the client contact on larger projects and keep everything organized.
• Travel to locations in the Netherlands and abroad as needed.

Your mission as an Installation & Commissioning Engineer

What will you be doing?

• You install and commission navigation and communication equipment, both in the workshop and on board.
• Every job starts with a clear briefing, so you know exactly what needs to be done.
• You will visit the most unique places on board: from high masts to compact technical rooms.
• During larger projects, you are the point of contact for the client and keep everything tightly organized.
• You travel to unique locations, both in the Netherlands and abroad – no place is too far for you!

• An MBO diploma (level 3/4) in electrical engineering.
• Interest in ships, technology, and travel – you are ready to discover the maritime world!
• Willingness to learn and obtain your certificates (VCA, Working at Height).
• A driver's license (B), so you can get anywhere.
• You speak and write Dutch and English well.
• You are persistent, stress-resistant, and always maintain an overview.
