Job summary

Darwin Recruitment is seeking a Field Service Technician for on-site work in Amsterdam, Netherlands, covering vessels, harbour cranes and port equipment. The role is permanent and field-based, with travel from home to customer sites.

You will troubleshoot electrical systems, diagnose breakdowns, perform preventive maintenance and support hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems across electromechanical assets. Dutch language required.

Qualifications

• Electrical fault finding, diagnostics and repair experience.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings/schematics.
• Experience with industrial machinery and electrical control systems.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems is advantageous.
• Hands-on problem solving with proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical troubleshooting, fault finding, maintenance and repairs on vessels, harbour cranes and port equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve breakdowns on customer sites, working with electrically controlled machinery and industrial systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections and testing activities.
• Support hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical troubleshooting across electromechanical systems.
• Provide technical support to customers throughout the harbour environment.
• Assist with commissioning and testing on new vessel builds and onboard systems.
