Job summary

MS Amlin in Rotterdam is seeking an Underwriting Analyst to support the Marine division's underwriting management, reporting to the Assistant Underwriting Manager. The role involves analytic portfolio monitoring, reserving support, and data-driven insights across multiple offices.

Based in London or Rotterdam, you will contribute to business planning, exposure management, and market analysis while collaborating with stakeholders across regions to inform pricing and risk decisions.

Qualifications

• Proactive attitude and ability to work independently as well as being a valued team member.
• Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of Marine insurance is desirable but not essential.
• Competent using the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
• Experience with data entry, reporting and market analysis.

Responsibilities

• Support reserving and portfolio monitoring & analysis, regionally or by country/product.
• Assist in the creation and delivery of the business plan and strategic initiatives.
• Support the underwriting management in exposure monitoring and market analysis.
• Ensure compliance with policy, risk, regulatory and legal requirements.
• Assist with quarterly result forecasts and project delivery.
