Job summary

Post & Co in Rotterdam is seeking an experienced Claims Handler to manage a varied portfolio of international marine liability claims with autonomy and accountability.

You will work with clients in shipping, offshore and luxury yacht sectors, coordinating with brokers, P&I clubs and experts, and reporting into a Claims Manager.

The role offers part-time or full-time options in a stable team with training and development opportunities to advance within the organisation.

Qualifications

• Several years of professional experience in claims handling, insurance, law, marine insurance or as a marine surveyor.
• Ability to analyse complex situations and take ownership.
• Strong communication with stakeholders and the need to escalate when required.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied portfolio of often complex marine claims arising from contractual and/or legal liabilities.
• Clients operate in shipping, offshore, fisheries, inland shipping and luxury yacht sectors.
• Communicate internationally with clients, insurance brokers, P&I Clubs, insurers, lawyers, surveyors and experts.
• Assess what happened, understand the situation and navigate the claim from start to finish with sound judgement and clear communication.
• No two files are the same – offering interesting variety.
