Job summary

Cytiva is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes at our Medemblik site. You will lead continuous improvement initiatives, collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams, and ensure safe, efficient production of biotech products.

The role focuses on process validation, waste reduction, and implementing robust processes for new product introductions within a regulated environment. On-site work in Medemblik, NL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering, process engineering, or industrial engineering role within a production environment.
• Demonstrated experience with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodologies.

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for for developing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective production. The role drives continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, delivery performance, and waste reduction while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards. Working closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams, the Manufacturing Engineer supports operational excellence through process optimization, problem-solving, and the successful introduction of new products and technologies into manufacturing. Who You Are

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering, process engineering, or industrial engineering role within a production environment.
• Demonstrated experience with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in manufacturing systems and engineering tools, including ERP/CMMS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with process validation, root cause analysis, and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions in a regulated manufacturing environment

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Strong technical understanding of mechanical, electrical, or pneumatic systems, with hands-on problem-solving experience
• Software development and database programming
• PLC programming
