You are the connective tissue between financial strategy and integrated execution, leading alignment across Demand, Inventory, and Allocation while managing trade-offs that directly impact business performance. This role offers the opportunity to build and develop a high-performing Merchandise Financial Planning (MFP) team, establish planning best practices, and drive the maturity of merchandise financial planning in your region. You will operate in a cross‑functional environment where your financial judgment and planning leadership shape real outcomes in a fast-moving, growth‑oriented business.

Meet Your Future Team:

The Merchandise Planning – EMEA team translates business priorities into integrated plans across channels, incorporating local demand signals, channel strategies, and market context. The team positions inventory effectively by channel, supports replenishment and inventory flow decisions, and drives aligned decisions that support growth, profitability, and customer experience across Demand Planning, Commercial, Merchandising, Inventory Planning, and Finance.

If you were in the Manager, Merchandise Planning – EMEA role now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
  • Translating corporate financial targets into regional Merchandise Financial Plans, driving alignment between top-down direction and bottom-up builds across DTC and wholesale channels
  • Leading a cross‑channel merchandise planning strategy that balances the unique needs of DTC and Wholesales businesses while optimizing inventory investments at the regional level
  • Monitoring in‑season financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities and driving adjustments to forecasts and investment plans as needed
  • Developing business reporting tools and publishing corresponding reports to monitor KPIs and strategic priorities
  • Leading prioritization and trade‑off discussions when constraints require allocation of resources across channels, accounts or product categories
  • Driving hindsighting and seasonal teardown activities at business unit level (eg. Men’s, Women’s, footwear, hardgoods/accessories) sharing appropriate findings cross‑functionally
  • Representing the MFP team in monthly sales and operations planning (S&OP) / Integrated Business Planning (IBP) forums, aligning financial plans with demand and supply constraints and ensuring inventory targets support revenue and margin objectives
  • Leading integrated planning across Demand, Inventory, and Allocation, managing trade‑offs between revenue, margin, and working capital as the business evolves
  • Establishing best practices in planning cadence and governance, driving consistency and rigor across the regional merchandise financial planning process
  • Managing, coaching, and developing the regional MFP team, establishing clear objectives and building a high‑performing planning function
Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:
  • Leading planning maturity initiatives and system optimization efforts that raise the bar on how the regional MFP team plans, reports, and collaborates
  • Building and codifying MFP governance frameworks and playbooks that can scale across the region as the business grows
Are you our next Manager, Merchandise Planning – EMEA?
  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field
  • You have 5-8+ years of experience in Merchandise Financial Planning, Financial Planning, or Demand Planning, preferably in a DTC or omnichannel retail environment
  • You have experience planning across multiple channels, with the ability to manage complexity across multi‑channel environments
  • You have a deep understanding of open‑to‑buy (OTB), sales, margin and initial markup (IMU) planning, inventory turn, and markdown optimization
  • You have advanced financial modeling and scenario planning capability, with a track record of translating financial analysis into clear business decisions
  • You have executive‑level presentation skills and can communicate financial plans, risks, and recommendations to senior stakeholders with confidence and clarity
  • You have proven people management skills; you set a clear vision, align your team around common objectives, and foster commitment to these objectives
