The team
As our Manager Logistics, you will lead a team of 4-5 Logistics Leads. Together, the logistics organization is responsible for the execution of all inbound and outbound logistics activities, internal distribution, certification and storage of aircraft spare parts for Fokker Services, VMI and 3PL services at our Hoofddorp and Schiphol locations.
The team provides all logistics services for the Material Services & Component Services business lines and works closely with the Customer Support and Operational Buying teams.
The Head of Supply Chain will be your manager and coach.
What will you do?
As our Manager Logistics, you are responsible for the end-to-end logistics operation at Fokker Services BV. You ensure that all logistics processes run efficiently, safely and in compliance with aerospace industry standards. From inbound and outbound flows to warehousing, certification, international transport and VMI/3PL services, you oversee the complete operation and continuously drive improvements.
You ensure that customer commitments, contractual agreements and KPIs are achieved while maintaining full compliance with aerospace regulations, customs requirements, export control legislation and HSEQ standards.
At the same time, you focus on developing a high-performing team culture where ownership, collaboration and continuous learning are encouraged. Through standardization, digitalization and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies, you continuously improve quality, efficiency and cost effectiveness.
In Addition, You Are Responsible For, Among Other Things
- Leading and developing a multidisciplinary logistics team.
- Ensuring safe, reliable and efficient daily logistics operations.
- Managing workforce planning and maintaining the required skills within the team.
- Acting as the escalation point for operational issues and stakeholder management.
- Representing Logistics in cross-functional projects and meetings.
- Driving process improvement, standardization and digitalization initiatives.
- Maintaining compliant SOPs and quality management documentation.
- Following up on complaints, audits, deviations and corrective actions (RCA/CAPA).
- Ensuring accurate inventory management and administration (target inventory accuracy ≥99.8%).
- Managing AOG and other critical logistics situations effectively and timely.
- Optimizing 3PL and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) processes.
- Acting as key user for ERP and WMS systems and supporting future system enhancements.

- Bachelor's degree (HBO) or equivalent level through experience, preferably in Logistics or Aerospace Logistics.
- Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is preferred.
- Experience with ERP and WMS systems, preferably within an aerospace or logistics environment.
- Knowledge of EDI and API integrations and related business requirements.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
- Fluent in Dutch and proficient in English, both written and spoken.
- Knowledge of aviation regulations and legislation is considered an advantage.
- VCA certification is preferred or willingness to obtain one.
