Job summary

Fokker Services Group, based in the Netherlands, is seeking a Calculator to prepare estimates, cost price calculations, quotations, and decision‑making calculations for maintenance, modification, repair, working parties, and crash repair of civil and military aircraft.

Your primary goal is to acquire contracts at acceptable prices and to understand complex quotation requests while analyzing technical, logistical, and financial risks across aircraft types.

Qualifications

  • HBO+ degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • Good command of English (written and spoken).
  • Knowledge of aircraft types and repair/overhaul methods.
  • Knowledge of EASA Part 145 regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate cost estimations and provide advice.
  • Estimate materials, resources, labor, facilities, services and other direct costs.
  • Formulate principles for financially responsible project execution.
  • Present and justify cost calculations to management and Sales; support negotiations.
  • Estimate additional and reduced work for projects.
  • Develop standards and benchmarks to support cost calculations.
  • Maintain cross‑department contacts to optimize cost calculations; support digital bidding processes.

How you keep the engine running with us

As a Calculator, you will be responsible for preparing estimates, cost price calculations, quotations, and decision‑making calculations for maintenance, modification, repair, working parties, and crash repair of civil/military aircraft. Your primary goal is to acquire contracts at acceptable prices. In this role, you will be able to understand complex quotation requests and analyze technical, logistical, and financial risks associated with different aircraft types.

Core tasks and responsibilities:

  • Understanding assignments and projects, gathering all necessary information to prepare accurate cost estimations and provide advice;
  • Estimating materials, resources, labor, facilities, services, and other direct order costs using standards, guidelines, and technical insight;
  • Formulating principles and conditions for financially responsible project execution;
  • Presenting and justifying cost calculations to management and Sales, and providing support during negotiations with potential clients;
  • Estimating additional and reduced work for projects;
  • Developing standards and benchmarks to support cost calculations;
  • Participating in discussions and maintaining contact with relevant departments, customer representatives, and subcontractors to optimize cost calculations;
  • Professionalization and digitalization of the bidding process.
How you are valuable to us
  • HBO+ degree in Business Administration, Finance, Commerce, or Information Technology;
