Job summary

Leaseweb is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer to design, develop and maintain a Kubernetes orchestration platform. You will work with Golang, Kubernetes, ArgoCD and Helm to automate deployment, scaling and management of clusters for customers in a remote-first environment.

The role emphasizes collaboration within a multidisciplinary team, on-call duties, and contributing to open-source projects while delivering highly available cloud solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience developing Kubernetes operators in Golang.
• Experience implementing Kubernetes components (Operators, Controllers, CRD, Cluster API).
• Experience creating container images with Dockerfiles, Kubernetes manifests and Helm charts.
• Experience with Kubernetes and related projects.
• Good knowledge of cloud concepts such as networking, storage, and virtualization.
• Able to collaborate and perform code reviews.
• Able to work in a development team using Scrum practices.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop & maintain Kubernetes controllers & operators in Golang.
• Propose innovative solutions to meet the product's needs.
• Research, evaluate & recommend tools or components to improve the product.
• Collaborate with Product Owner and agile team to refine Product Backlogs & prioritize features.
• Improve & maintain the platform for high availability and scalability.
• Troubleshoot, reproduce, debug and resolve complex issues.
• Collaborate on open-source projects.
• Regular on-call duty (EOD-Engineer on Duty).
