Job summary

MEININGER Hotel Amsterdam City West is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our maintenance team. You will perform visual checks of communal areas and hotel grounds, replace wear-and-tear parts, handle basic repairs to furniture and bathroom equipment, and carry out small painting tasks.

You will monitor utility areas, work with FM contractors to develop maintenance plans, and maintain stock of all maintenance supplies.

Qualifications

• Technical background or education is required.
• Fluent in English; Dutch preferred.
• Driver's license B is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual checks of communal areas and hotel grounds.
• Exchange wear-and-tear parts (light bulbs, mattresses, etc.).
• Carry out basic repairs to furniture and bathroom equipment.
• Do small painting works and related tasks.
• Monitor and maintain utility areas and equipment.
• Work with FM contractors to develop and execute maintenance plans.
• Keep stock of all maintenance inventory and supplies.
• Respond to customer and management inquiries and document them.
• Ensure interior and exterior cleanliness and maintenance of the hotel.
• Be flexible to work on weekends and holidays.
• Apply preventive maintenance processes.
