Job summary

Neste Rotterdam Refinery is seeking a Maintenance E&I Engineer to uphold equipment performance and reliability within the maintenance team. You will manage preventive maintenance, ensure compliance with Neste standards and coordinate with external contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master level or equivalent in electrical engineering or similar.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in process industry (refinery, chemical plant).
• Knowledge of NEN, API, IEC, IEEE standards is an advantage; willingness to develop is a must.
• Good communication skills for management to operator levels.
• Willingness to learn and develop in 3–5 years.
• Safety-conscious and collaborative mindset.
• English speaking/writing is required; Dutch proficiency is essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining, reviewing and updating preventive maintenance plans and ensuring compliance with Neste standards and industry developments.
• Ensure maintenance by own personnel and third parties is executed on time, enabling instrumentation system certification.
• Create and scope repair plans for execution of repairs.
• Act as a liaison with project department to maintain equipment integrity.
• Initiate and lead improvement initiatives, monitor necessary tests.
• Keep documentation up to date and ensure local legislation is integrated in Neste Netherlands systems.
• Provide training to operators and maintenance where needed.
• Participate in root cause analysis investigations and other troubleshooting on reliability issues.
• Serve as go-to person for maintenance planners for complex maintenance questions.
• Propose minor equipment changes (MOC) and input into projects for the discipline area.
• Contribute to keeping Neste specifications up-to-date for the discipline area.
